Man Abandons 42-Year-Old Bride At Ikoyi Registry

A man in Lagos has been arrested after he abandoned his proposed bride and stole her money.

45-year old Uzor Emmanuel is alleged to have duped one Victoria Adeleye of N4 million and then left her at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry where they were scheduled to wed.

Emmanuel, who is married with 3 kids, told the police that he only wanted the victim for her money and was never interested in marrying her.

He has been charged with obtaining under false pretenses and stealing before an Isolo Magistrate court.
