The 24-year-old's contract is a two-way deal, meaning he is expected to spend the majority of the upcoming season with the team's G League affiliate, the San Diego Clippers.

At 7-foot-5, Sharp becomes the tallest active player in the National Basketball Association. Previously, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs held that distinction, standing at 7-foot-4.

Sharp's career has included stints with the Texas Legends in the G League and Vaqueros de Bayamón in Puerto Rico.
