Clashed with Dončić, then made history! Has Curry found his heir? The 24-year-old rookie who took down the Clippers and entered the record books /VIDEO/

Yaxel Lendeborg continues to prove he is a cornerstone for the Golden State Warriors' future. With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green sidelined, the surging 24-year-old rookie seized the spotlight once again, leading the team to a 124-112 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Logging 34 minutes, Lendeborg delivered a masterclass with 37 points, shooting 13-of-19 from the field and draining six three-pointers. He also dished out six assists and pulled down four rebounds to cap off a sensational all-around display for Golden State.

After an 0-3 start to the season, the Warriors have found their rhythm, securing their fourth consecutive victory thanks to Lendeborg's standout performance to keep their momentum rolling over the weekend.

Lendeborg's 37-point explosion places him alongside the greatest names in franchise history. According to ESPN Insights, his 37 points are the most by a Warriors rookie in a single game since 2010, when Stephen Curry dropped 42.

Lendeborg is also averaging 22.3 points per game across his first seven career appearances, making him just the third player in Warriors history to average at least 20 points over that span.

In this historic category, he joins Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain (37.4 PPG in 1959–60) and Rick Barry (22.9 PPG in 1965–66). Golden State has undoubtedly unearthed a gem in Lendeborg, and his blistering start could pave the way for a remarkable season if the 24-year-old maintains this pace.

Lendeborg and the Warriors will now regroup as they prepare to host the Phoenix Suns on Monday in the second game of a back-to-back. Notably, Yaxel recently caught national attention following a heated on-court altercation with Luka Dončić.
