The Detroit Pistons are sending guard Caris LeVert and two second-round draft picks to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Torrey Prince and Gary Harris, ESPN reports. This trade is part of a larger six-team deal that sees veteran Chris Middleton return to the Washington Wizards on a three-year, $17.6 million contract. Guard D'Angelo Russell, meanwhile, is moving from the nation's capital to the Memphis Grizzlies.
LeVert, 31, is in the middle of a two-year, $29 million contract he signed with Detroit last summer. During the 2025-26 season, he posted career lows of 7.4 points, 2 rebounds, and 19.2 minutes per game, significantly below his ten-season NBA averages with the Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Atlanta Hawks.
Chris Middleton, 34, began last season with the Washington Wizards but was traded to the Dallas Mavericks as part of the Anthony Davis deal.
In 839 NBA appearances, Middleton, who has been plagued by injuries in recent years, averages 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists, shooting 38.5% from three-point range.
The Washington Wizards already acquired center Deandre Ayton last week, and with the recovered Anthony Davis and Trae Young, the team is expected to have significantly better chances of making the playoffs compared to previous years.
The other three teams involved in the deal are the LA Clippers, the Memphis Grizzlies, and Middleton's former team, the Dallas Mavericks. Guard D'Angelo Russell is also part of the multi-team trade.
