Alejandro Garnacho has been found guilty of speeding while leaving Manchester United's training ground, prior to his move to Chelsea. The Argentine admitted to the offense and was fined £660.
The Argentine winger was caught on camera driving his Audi RS3 at 50 mph (approximately 80 km/h) in a 40 mph (approximately 64 km/h) zone, as he departed his former team's training facilities last summer.
The incident, which occurred on August 26th, led Garnacho to admit to the offense through his legal representatives at Liverpool Magistrates' Court. The player apologized and stated he was "ashamed" of the event.
The magistrate imposed a £660 fine, and he was also ordered to pay £120 in court costs and £264 as a victim surcharge. Additionally, three penalty points were added to his driving license.
Garnacho had also faced an accusation of failing to respond to a police letter regarding the offense, specifically when asked to identify the driver of his vehicle last October. However, this charge was dropped after his admission of guilt.
