Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has set his longest streak without a pole position in Formula 1, following the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

Leclerc secured second place on the grid in Baku but finished over 0.8 seconds behind George Russell. He admitted he expected to qualify second but was surprised by the significant gap to the Mercedes driver.
After Baku, Leclerc is now on a run of 25 consecutive races without a pole position. His last pole came at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2025.
Despite this, Leclerc is widely considered one of the fastest, if not the fastest, drivers in qualifying trim in modern Formula 1, a reputation he built during his early years at Maranello.
