Former NBA star and current television analyst, Charles Barkley, has heaped praise on New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns for his performance in the first two games of the NBA Finals series against the San Antonio Spurs.
"The Finals MVP will be Karl-Anthony Towns. He's played the two best games I've ever seen from a big man. He was magnificent in the first game and magnificent in the second. This guy deserves the respect he's due," Barkley stated.
In the opening two games of the Finals, Towns has averaged 19.5 points (shooting 55.6% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range), 12.5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 block.
Following a dramatic 105-104 road victory last night, the Knicks now lead the series 2-0, with the next two matchups set to be played on their home court.
