Partizan fell to ASVEL on Wednesday night in EuroLeague Round 8, but they return to action on Friday in Round 9 against Zalgiris, where a familiar face awaits in Kaunas – Sterling Brown.

Partizan suffered a defeat against ASVEL in Round 8 of the EuroLeague, but there is no time to dwell. A new challenge awaits on Friday night in Kaunas, where they face Zalgiris and a very familiar face in Sterling Brown.

Unlike the Black-and-Whites, who fell in Villeurbanne, Zalgiris cruised to a 91-74 victory over Virtus in Bologna, with Brown contributing 14 points.

Looking ahead to the matchup against his former club, Brown shared his thoughts:

"It's going to be a good game, they've got some good players over there. They're playing well, coming off a big win last week. It'll be a great matchup, and I can't wait to see some of the guys, especially Carlik. I'm excited." - Sterling Brown

The experienced guard has been averaging 11.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in Europe's elite competition this season, posing a constant threat to opposing defenses.

There is no doubt that coach Masiulis will rely heavily on him to counter Joan Penarroya's offensive schemes, while Partizan's defense will have to be at its best to contain their former player.
