The super-G competition will follow downhill action on Friday and Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud will head into the weekend's events - which also comprises of the giant slalom on Sunday - as favourite.

Hudec was ninth at last weekend's super-G season-opener at Lake Louise and is excited by the Beaver Creek lay-out.

"I haven't had this much fun skiing in a long time," Hudec told the FIS official website after a training run.

"The course runs so smoothly and even though the jumps are big, the landings are perfect.

"All I could think once down is how I wanted to do [the run] it again and again."

Jansrud heads to Beaver Creek in good form, having won in both the downhill and super-G category at Lake Louise last weekend.

With Aksel Lund Svindal set to miss a significant chunk of the season due to an Achilles problem, Jansrud took full advantage.

The Olympic super-G champion edged Austrian Matthias Meyer and Italian Dominik Paris to win Sunday's event in the same discipline.

And Jansrud won Tuesday's training run to further boost his chances.

Jansrud, who leads the overall Alpine Skiing World Cup standings, can also expect competition from Swiss trio Otmar Striedinger, Max Franz and Hannes Reichelt.
