Automaker Cadillac has released a special edition of its luxury Escalade-V dedicated to Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez. Only 11 units of the exclusive edition will be produced, honoring the Mexican driver's race number.
Named the Escalade-V Checo Perez Edition, the model is already available across dealership networks in Mexico with a starting price of 4,099,000 pesos (approximately $222,500). That represents a markup of around 250,000 pesos over the standard version sold locally.
The enhancements are largely cosmetic. The Escalade and V-Series badges feature a matte black finish, while the monochrome Cadillac crest reflects the livery of the MAC-26 Formula 1 car. The SUV also boasts an illuminated front grille and door handles, 24-inch satin graphite wheels, and a carbon-fiber engine cover.
The cabin has also received subtle upgrades, including sports pedals and trim elements matching the team's monochrome color scheme. Highlighting the limited production run are two uniquely numbered plaques—positioned on the B-pillar and the center console—complete with Perez's signature.
Under the hood, the powertrain remains unchanged. The model is powered by the familiar 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine delivering 682 horsepower. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
The special edition's unveiling comes just ahead of Perez's home race at the Mexico City Grand Prix, which follows this weekend's round in Austin. For the Mexican, it will mark his milestone 300th start in Formula 1.
