Cadillac Formula 1 chief Dan Towriss has refused to rule out the possibility of Colton Herta stepping into a race seat for the 2027 season at the expense of Valtteri Bottas.

Bottas and his current teammate Sergio Perez signed multi-year deals with Formula 1's newest outfit, which made its debut at the start of the current campaign. However, doubts have emerged surrounding the Finn's future in recent weeks, particularly following the Singapore Grand Prix, where he was nearly lapped by Perez.

"I think over the next couple of weeks we'll be able to speak in more detail about our driver lineup plans. Obviously, we have contracts with Checo and Valtteri, and we are very pleased with their work. "However, over the last few races, Valtteri has had some struggles with his race pace. We are discussing the matter and we'll see how things unfold," Towriss commented. "Yes, that is always a possibility," he added when asked specifically about Herta potentially racing for Cadillac next year.
