The Nation reports that the father of six, who shuttles neighbouring Abraka and Eku communities, drank the poisonous pesticide in his newly-purchased car.

Edore was reportedly rushed to a private clinic in the Amukpe area of Sapele in Delta, where he was confirmed dead.

According to a resident of the area, Edore had shown no sign of being suicidal.

“He came home that evening and was as usual very lively. He brought his car and was complaining about the radiator or so. It was when he left and came back that we learnt he had drank Sniper. I think he must have taken the insecticide inside the car," the resident who preferred anonymity was quoted as saying.

The deceased's family buried him in his village of Kpokpogiri.
