Some apparent supporters of Senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu are currently staging what might be termed as a protest on the premises of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Some of the signs they’re carrying read: “Leave Kashamu alone”, “We voted for him, he is our man”, “Kashamu is a great state man”, “Kashamu is not a drug baron”, “Ilegal detention, illegal arrest must stop”.

Kashamu had been placed under house arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) after plans to apprehend and extradite him were stalled.

The Senator-elect is set to be extradited to the US to face drug charges which he has so far managed to avoid.

Meanwhile, Kashamu is said to be refusing to leave his home for the court without seeing an arrest warrant.
