Singer's 'Soke' producer calls him out for money owed

The drama all started yesterday, May 3, 2016 when Burna Boy dropped his latest song 'undefinedand tweeted the link. The singer mentioned that the song was produced by Orbeat, who also produced 'Soke' and worked on his album.

The producer Orbeat however lashed out at the crooner on Twitter saying that the song shouldn’t have been released without his consent especially since he hasn’t been paid fully for his effort.

In a series of tweets, he accuses Burna Boy of intellectual property theft by not reaching out to him for consent to drop the song  he produced for him on his latest album " On A Spaceship" (OAS).

Pulse Nigeria reached out to Burna Boy's PR agency, who said that Burna Boy didn't actually release the song 'Acting bad' as it was leaked and the song is incomplete. The agent said they were making efforts to find out where the leak came from.

The media rep also said Burna and Orbeat never agreed to release the single. When asked if  there is any existing agreement between Burna Boy and Orbeat over digital sales for the " OAS"  album, it was further revealed that both parties had no written agreement.

On her response to her position on the allegation, she says " We are trying to work it all out as Orbeat is a good producer and further work relations need to be protected."

The parties Burna and Orbeat have been going at each other on social media since the development.
