Burna and Leriq have worked  successfully and had great chemistry working together on Burna's debut album ''L.I.F.E'' released in 2013, with Leriq producing the entire album. Singles  like 'Like to party', 'Run my race'  and 'Yawa dey' amongst others were some of the stand-out songs in the album.

Upon its release, the album received generally good reviews from music critics. Many critics applauded the album's production for being versatile. The album was nominated for Best Album of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards,  as well as Best Pop/R&B album and Album of the year at the Headies 2014.

In 2014, Burna Boy parted ways with Aristokrat records after seeing out his contract with the label contrary to reports that he walked out of his contract, which saw him starting his own record label Spaceship Entertainment months later.

Fast forward to 2016, and the social media vibes we are getting is  Burna Boy and LeriQ  getting back in the studio to cook up more hits for fans.

Burna boy had just recently won big at the Metro FM Awards in Durban South Africa. He went home with the One Africa Award, becoming the first ever winner of the award and  two other awards for his collaboration with AKA on the South African act‘s hit song ‘Baddest’.

The spaceship entertainment rapper was given a Best Hit Single award as well as Best Collaboration for the song.

Burna Boy recently also dropped a cover of Rihanna's 'work'  whichhas received a lot of buzz since it dropped. See video below:
