Nasiru Daura, chairman House committee on special duties said this after an oversight visit to the clinic on Thursday, February 2, 2017.

His words: “I'm happy with what I've seen. The public criticism we keep hearing; there are no drugs in the State House Medical Centre, there is no this, there is no that, despite the fact that it's free service here.

"Things are bound to finish. They've to wait for the releases to come before they can replenish," he announced.

Abba Kyari, chief of staff to the President, maintained that the State House Clinic was built with public funds, adding that it is the committee's duty to ensure its proper maintenance.

The State House Medical Centre caters for the health needs of President Muhammadu Buhari; his vice, Yemi Osinbajo; civil servants at the Presidential Villa and their family members.

A total of N3.87billion was allocated for capital projects at the State House Clinic in the 2016 budget.
