"Bro, You Lost That Fight": Jake Paul and Others Criticize Usyk's Controversial Win

Professional fighters were left stunned by the controversial manner in which Oleksandr Usyk secured a victory against Rico Verhoeven. The Dutchman pushed Usyk to his limits, and many of his peers couldn't believe what they were witnessing.

For ten rounds, the kickboxer presented a formidable challenge to the undefeated heavyweight boxing king, arguably leading on points until Usyk dropped him with a powerful blow. The referee began the count in the final seconds of the round, and Verhoeven managed to recover, only to be immediately put on the defensive again as the Ukrainian sought to finish the fight. To the surprise of many, the referee controversially stopped the bout, awarding Usyk a contentious victory just as it seemed the fighters would get another three minutes to decide the outcome.

Influencer and boxer Jake Paul called the stoppage "the craziest thing I've ever seen," adding, "I'm Usyk's biggest fan, but, bro, you lost that fight."
