The deal is reportedly worth €20 million, comprising €18 million in guaranteed payments and an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses.

Coppola is the second Brighton player who was on loan in the spring to now depart permanently, following Bryan Gruda. The German player will, in fact, be loaned back to RB Leipzig, but the agreement will include an option for a mandatory purchase clause valued between €25-30 million.

Coppola joined Brighton from Italian club Verona last year but made only five appearances in the Premier League. He is set to return to the French capital at the request of the team's new coach, Liam Rossinier. Following this transfer, Brighton is expected to sign Luka Vuskovic from Tottenham. Spurs are anticipated to receive around £50 million for the deal.
