The track icon is on a quest to become the first female track athlete in history to win double Olympic titles at three different Olympic Games. Sadly, this won't happen as she's entered in the 100m only and not the 200m at the Jamaican Olympic trials.

Thompson-Herah now has to race to qualify in the 100m and make the Jamaican Olympic team and from her recent setback of sustaining an injury and having a Season's Best (SB) of 11.30s, this may be a tall order to attain.

The legendary Jamaican sprinter got injured in her last race at the New York Grand Prix, where she finished eighth in 11.48s (-2.1). Immediately after crossing the finish line, she needed assistance to be carried off the track.

"I felt something uncomfortable as I began to push I still tried to go but it got worse” so I am awaiting professional advice moving forward” thanks for your continuous support 🙏🏾," wrote the world's fastest woman alive.

After this, it was later reported that Thompson-Herah had flown to Germany to see the renowned Dr. Hans Müller-Wohlfahrt, who is known to have treated many footballers and athletes, including Usain Bolt.
