Boston opened their game against Miami in a trance-like state, pouring in an incredible 53 points in the first quarter. This marks an absolute franchise record and ties for the second-best opening quarter performance in NBA history.

With a 24-3 run in just four minutes, the Celtics turned a minimal deficit into a massive 20-point lead, a shock from which Miami practically never recovered for the rest of the night.

The star of the evening was Jaylen Brown, who was scoring from all angles, finishing with 43 points. However, the Player of the Game honors go to Jayson Tatum, who recorded his first triple-double of the season with 25 points, 18 rebounds, and 11 assists.

When Boston scores at least 117 points, they simply don't lose – this season, they boast an incredible 31-0 record in such situations! They also showed resilience, as this was their 10th victory in the last 11 games played immediately after a loss.

Although the score suggests an easy win, Miami didn't give up. Erik Spoelstra's team tied a club record with 24 made three-pointers, but even that wasn't enough to stop the red-hot Boston.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while role players like Davion Mitchell and Tyler Herro gave their all, but Miami's defense was simply non-existent.

Our Nikola Jović did not enter the game.

After this match, Boston firmly holds the second position in the East, trailing Detroit by four wins. On the other hand, the situation in Florida is alarming: they remain in 10th place, which leads to the play-in tournament, with Orlando and Charlotte breathing down their necks.

In their next game, the Celtics will visit Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee on Friday, while Miami hosts a wounded Washington on Saturday, a game where a win is imperative for them.
