How terrorists drowned fishermen in Borno

Boko Haram insurgents carried out an attack on Doron Baga in Borno State on Thursday, November 20, leaving at least 48 fishermen dead.

Abubakar Gamandi, head of the fish traders association, told AFP that the attackers killed all the fishermen without using any guns.

“The Boko Haram gunmen slit the throats of some of the men and tied the hands and legs of the others before throwing them into the lake to drown. They (the attackers) killed their victims silently without the use of the gun to avoid attracting attention from the multi-national troops,” he said.

A military source is said to have confirmed the incident while also stating that adequate details of the attack were yet to be received.
