Local hunters in Adamawa State have reportedly killed 75 Boko Haram militants who invaded their community.
The Boko Haram members attacked Maiha Town and captured it on Monday, November 10, but the residents fought back and recovered their community from the terrorists.
A resident of the town, Bello Ya’u said:
“The hunters mobilized and gave the insurgents hot chase during which many Boko Haram sect members are killed. ‘We commend them for the gallant fight.”
One of the hunters, Baba Dauda said that they had no choice but to fight the terrorists
“We had to wake up and fight the bastards that keep plaguing our societies killing innocent souls. People should brace up and start fighting them, we killed many of them. We are not afraid of being killed,” he stated.
Boko Haram took over Mubi in Adamawa last month and chased residents, and even soldiers, out of the town.
