On Wednesday night, the Houston Rockets stormed to a commanding 132-100 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, headlined by an electric cameo from Bogdan Bogdanović, who poured in 16 points in just 15 minutes of action.

It was also a memorable night for young Serbian prospect Bogoljub Marković, who made his NBA debut for the Bucks.

Houston center Alperen Şengün, the team's top scorer averaging 24.5 points per game, was sidelined due to lower back soreness.

Even without their leading scorer, the undefeated Rockets found plenty of offense through Fred VanVleet, who missed the entirety of last season with a torn ACL. VanVleet shot 7-of-14 from the floor, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and caught fire midway through the third quarter by scoring 15 consecutive points for Houston, capping the burst with three free throws to stretch the lead to 81-61.

Thompson went 10-of-16 from the field as the Rockets shot an efficient 54.8% overall. Kevin Durant added 18 points, while Bogdan Bogdanović scored 16 points in just 15 minutes of play. The Serbian national team captain knocked down all four of his three-point attempts in the fourth quarter, delivering his sharpest offensive performance since arriving in Houston.

While the outcome was already well in hand, the outing offered a clear glimpse of what Bogdanović can provide for the Rockets. On a roster packed with scoring options, his veteran poise and perimeter shooting could prove invaluable as the season progresses.

Houston also dominated at the line, converting 23 of 26 free-throw attempts.

Tyler Herro led Milwaukee with 23 points, and Jaime Jaquez Jr. added 19. Bogoljub Marković marked his debut by scoring two points in 5:16 of floor time.

Houston took complete control with a lopsided second quarter, outscoring the Bucks 34-14 to carry a 57-35 lead into the break.

The Rockets opened the period with eight unanswered points to move ahead 31-21, and a Clint Capela tip-in later pushed the advantage to 49-30.

Milwaukee struggled from distance in the first half, hitting just 4-of-24 from deep and earning only a single free throw, while Houston went 13-of-15 from the stripe.

Rockets center Steven Adams sat out due to a right calf strain, while guard Marcus Smart missed his third straight game with a left forearm strain.
