Maxwell to perform at BET Experience

International R&B singer Maxwell is set to headline the BET Experience Africa in South Africa.

On December 12, 2015, the entertainment channel BET (on DStv channel 129) will be celebrating urban culture, music and lifestyle. This is the first time the BET Experience will be holding in Africa.

“VIMN Africa and BET are proud to introduce this incredibly successful BET franchise to the African audience for the first time, celebrating so many rich and varied faces of the urban lifestyle experience under one roof”, Alex Okosi, Senior Vice President & Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Africa said of the event.

The event at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg is set to showcase great food, fashion, music, dance and sport. It will feature a celebrity basket ball game and stand-up routines from comedy stars.

There will also be informative and instructive Genius Talks curated by experts and opinion formers in various fields.

The other performers for the BET Experience concert are yet to be named.

BET Africa launched on DSTV in April of this year. The entertainment brand is looking at creating local content with shows like ‘Top Actor Africa’ and ‘Buzz’.
