David Beckham has voiced his support for Manchester United's interim manager, Michael Carrick, stating that Carrick has brought a rare sense of stability to Old Trafford during a challenging period for the club. The former midfielder believes his erstwhile England teammate possesses the necessary temperament to guide the club through this transitional phase and secure a Champions League spot.
“Yes, I have to admit, the last few months have been much calmer than the last 10 years, honestly,” Beckham shared.
“It’s been a tough period. But I think Michael has experience. I believe he has a calmness that he’s brought to the club. He knows the club. He knows the players. He knows the way Manchester United plays and the way they should play,” the former midfielder added.
Carrick took charge of the team on January 13th, replacing Ruben Amorim, and immediately made a positive impact. In 10 Premier League matches over 75 days, he has secured seven wins, two draws, and just one loss, averaging 2.30 points per game.
