The Denver Nuggets defeated the San Antonio Spurs on their home court in a dramatic finish, extending their NBA winning streak to eight games. As usual, Serbian center Nikola Jokic was the central figure on the court this evening.

Jokic once again dominated the game, finishing with an impressive 40 points, eight rebounds, and 13 assists. He was the pivotal player for his team, especially in crucial moments, refusing to give up even when defeat seemed inevitable.

He spearheaded the team through the final quarter, then sealed the victory with two decisive plays. In overtime, he contributed seven points.

With six seconds left in regulation, Jokic assisted Aaron Gordon for the tying basket, forcing overtime after Victor Wembanyama missed a potential game-winner for the Spurs.

The decisive moment arrived 30 seconds into overtime. After his team turned over the ball, Jokic managed to intercept an opponent's pass, then scored on the subsequent possession, definitively securing the win.

The Spurs are currently second in the Western Conference standings, while the Nuggets sit fourth with a 50-28 record.
