In a move to secure Robert Lewandowski's future, Barcelona has reportedly tabled a new contract offer for the striker. Despite his age, the Polish international remains a pivotal figure in the club's plans.

According to the newspaper "Sport," Barcelona presented Lewandowski with a proposal that would extend his stay in Catalonia beyond the 2025-26 season. However, the terms of the agreement reflect the club's ongoing financial constraints, requiring the 37-year-old to accept a salary reduction of approximately 50% of his current wages.

The deal is sweetened with various performance-based bonuses, which could significantly boost his earnings if he maintains his high level of productivity on the pitch.

This offer comes at a time when several clubs worldwide are monitoring his situation. MLS side Chicago Fire has expressed strong interest, while the Saudi Pro League also remains an attractive alternative.

The Polish star, however, doesn't appear to be in any rush. Speaking recently to "The Athletic," he stated: "I don't know. Because I have to feel it. For now, I can't tell you anything because I'm not even 50% sure about the path I want to take. It's not the right time for that."
