Spanish giants Barcelona anticipate generating approximately 700 million euros in guaranteed revenue from the sale of 2,000 VIP seats at the renovated Camp Nou stadium, the La Liga club announced. These VIP seats will be offered with usage rights for either 15 or 30 years, requiring buyers to make an upfront payment. Barcelona expects all seats to be sold within the next two and a half seasons. The projected revenue will be realized over the duration of these contracts, according to the club, which aims to transform its revamped stadium into a primary income stream.
In December 2024, Barcelona finalized deals for 475 VIP seats with terms up to 30 years, totaling 100 million euros. The club stated that they have already secured nearly 5,000 VIP seats, representing over 380 million euros in guaranteed revenue, with varying contract durations. On Thursday, Reuters reported that Barcelona is exploring two new financing sources worth 510 million euros to cover rising costs and revenue shortfalls associated with the stadium's renovation. Construction work on the facility is expected to conclude for the 2028–2029 season.
