Barcelona's management has reportedly tabled an offer for Inter Milan's central defender Alessandro Bastoni. According to "Sport," the proposal to the Italian international is for a five-year contract with a significantly higher salary than he currently earns at the Serie A leaders. It's claimed that Bastoni's current remuneration can reach 7 million euros gross plus bonuses. Barcelona is effectively offering the central defender double that amount.
"Sport" insists that Bastoni is increasingly close to accepting the offer, with the Italian currently weighing only two options: a transfer to Barcelona or a new contract with Inter. The Catalan club's strategy is to first reach an agreement with the player, and then initiate negotiations with his club.
Bastoni is valued between 60 and 80 million euros, but Barcelona will undoubtedly try to lower the price by including one of their own players in their offer to Inter.
Bastoni's contract with Inter runs until the summer of 2028.
