Spanish giants Barcelona are closely monitoring 19-year-old Athletico PR center-back Arthur Dias. According to reports from "UmDois Esportes," the Catalan club's head scout, Joao Amaral, personally observed the player during a Brazilian league match against Bahia.
Last summer, Athletico rejected a €21 million offer from an English club for the player's rights. In addition to Barcelona, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig, Newcastle, and Benfica are also reportedly interested in the young talent.
Dias is a key figure for Athletico PR. He has experience with Brazil's U20 national team and has already received his first senior call-up for the "Seleção" from Carlo Ancelotti for friendly matches against Australia and India.
The defender's current contract with his club runs until the end of 2028.
