Atlético Madrid Ultras Unforgiving Towards Julián Álvarez

Atlético Madrid supporters continue to voice their displeasure with Julián Álvarez. Following the insults hurled at the Argentine forward from the stands of the Metropolitano during his La Liga debut against Málaga – comments that coach Diego Simeone later justified in a press conference – this Friday saw banners targeting "El Araña" (The Spider) appear at the club's training ground.

Several media outlets published photos of the placards, which featured messages such as "Julián Out" and a crossed-out number 19, the Argentine's jersey number. The situation is becoming increasingly untenable, yet the Madrid club refuses to negotiate with Barcelona – the team the player wishes to join – with just over a week remaining in the transfer window.

These are not the first banners from Atlético fans directed at Julián. Prior to the Málaga match, a group of supporters had already displayed their strong feelings towards the Argentine: "Julián, thank you for the respect you show us, you fool. Barça and your entourage tricked you like a spoiled child," read one of the banners, concluding with the words: "Our Atleti is above all."

In recent hours, reports even surfaced that Atlético had opened the door for Julián's transfer to Arsenal, but the player insisted on his desire to fulfill his dream and sign with Barça.

Barcelona's sporting management, led by Deco, continues to consider the Argentine an absolute priority and has already activated alternative options for his replacement, aiming to have room for maneuver given the difficulties encountered from the Madrid club.
