The Atlanta Hawks are already looking to the future. The Georgia-based team, which finished the NBA regular season with a 46-36 record, placing 6th in the Eastern Conference, has secured the services of its head coach for the upcoming seasons.
According to Shams Charania, the Hawks and Quin Snyder have reached an agreement on a multi-year contract extension. The former Utah Jazz coach has made an excellent impression during his fourth season in Atlanta.
In his four seasons with Atlanta, Snyder led the team to the playoffs twice, with the Hawks being eliminated in the first round on both occasions. This year, the team was knocked out by the New York Knicks.
Interesting times lie ahead for the Hawks, who are now without their long-time star Trae Young. With Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jalen Johnson stepping into star roles, the franchise will also hold the 8th pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft.
