Renowned basketball coach Duško Vujošević has passed away in Belgrade.

The basketball world and the 'black and white' family mourn the loss of a man who will forever symbolize Partizan and a motto that Duško himself, almost inadvertently, established for the 'Steamroller' to always follow: "Fight, damn it!"

This sad news also prompted a reaction from Ergin Ataman, head coach of Panathinaikos, who offered heartfelt condolences for Duško Vujošević and extended his sympathies to the Lucescu family.

Before the game, I want to express my condolences for the loss of two great sports coaches. One is Mircea Lucescu, who coached the Turkish national team, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş, and I know his son is now coaching PAOK. My deepest sympathies go out to the Lucescu family. Also, to Duško Vujošević, a great basketball coach against whom I've led teams. We've lost two incredibly important figures in sports. My condolences to their families; the sports world is poorer for their absence.Ergin Ataman

Duško Vujošević was born on March 3, 1959, in Podgorica. Throughout his career, he coached OKK Belgrade, Crvena Zvezda, Brescia, Pesaro, Radnički Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Cluj, and Limoges, but he left his most significant mark at Partizan. He led the 'black and whites' in four stints: from 1987 to 1989, 1990 to 1991, 2001 to 2010, and 2012 to 2015.

Vujošević also served as the national team coach for Serbia and Montenegro, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
