ASVEL Poaching Reinforcements from Zvezda and Partizan!

ASVEL is entering a reconstruction phase, with club owner Tony Parker signaling his intent to build a significantly more competitive team for the upcoming EuroLeague season. After years spent at the bottom of the elite competition, the French club is now entering the market much more "aggressively," joining the chase for several high-profile reinforcements.

One of Parker's initial moves was a coaching change. He first relieved his brother of his coaching duties, followed by the club parting ways with Pierric Poupet, clearing the path for a new sporting reconstruction. ASVEL is reportedly keen on Armoni Brooks, a player previously linked with Partizan. The French club is said to be actively pursuing his signature.

Additionally, ASVEL is targeting Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot. The former NBA player and ex-Mega star has been mentioned as a potential reinforcement for Crvena Zvezda for some time, but the Villeurbanne team has now entered the race. Frank Ntilikina is also on their wish list. The French international joined Partizan after several years in the NBA, then moved to Olympiacos this season where he had a limited role. Nevertheless, Parker sees him as a potential part of the new project.

In previous seasons, ASVEL primarily built its roster around more experienced and financially modest options. However, all indications suggest that the Villeurbanne club might change its approach this summer, aiming to assemble a significantly more ambitious squad to return to serious contention in the EuroLeague.
