Aston Villa Prepares €50 Million Bid for Balde

Aston Villa is reportedly prepared to table a €50 million bid for Barcelona's left-back Alejandro Balde, according to “El Chiringuito.” The Birmingham club has shown interest in Balde for some time, and the Catalan giants are open to parting ways with him for the right price. This move would help fund their ambitious transfer targets, such as Alessandro Bastoni and Julián Álvarez, who require significant investment.

“El Chiringuito” also suggests that Barcelona has a plan to replace Balde. Their strategy involves Bayer Leverkusen's left-back Alejandro Grimaldo, whose contract runs until 2027. Reports indicate he could be acquired for a fee between €10-12 million. The club's management also aims to secure João Cancelo permanently but is unwilling to meet Al-Hilal's €15 million asking price.

The major question remains whether Balde will agree to leave Barcelona. However, the source claims that Aston Villa will offer the 22-year-old a salary that would be very difficult for him to refuse.
