The two-time world champion previously stated he would decide his future during the summer break. However, according to the team's official stance, the Spaniard has not yet reached a final conclusion.

"Yes, I mean, the discussion has been ongoing for many, many months now. I think Fernando has always said he would make a decision around the summer. And I think we will see a decision in the coming weeks," Krack told the media today at Zandvoort. "I think we are waiting for his decision, as I said, and then we will see."
When questioned about rumors linking other drivers to the team, Krack was unequivocal. He explained: "No, I think we have always said that the focus is on continuing with Fernando. And as I said, we are quite confident that we will achieve a good outcome. On the other hand, we have to respect Fernando's wish to make his own decision, and we have to wait for that."

In previous interviews, Alonso has made it clear he wants to remain with Aston Martin but has not yet decided what his role will be. The Spaniard also believes the team will become world champions; the only question is when.
