Arsenal's Technical Director, James Ellis, has announced his departure from the club via a social media post. Ellis spent nearly five years at the Emirates, having joined from fellow London club Fulham, where he served as chief scout. He initially arrived at the Gunners in that scouting capacity before being promoted to Technical Director two years later, working directly under Edu Gaspar.

“Sport is a wonderful place to work and grow, and I am very, very happy that I had the opportunity to develop in the industry for 25 years. My journey in sport has made me who I am. I recently left Arsenal Football Club, where I worked for five years on the club's development and the progress of individual teams. The most notable memory will be meeting a number of wonderful people. Thank you to everyone who helped shape me during my career. I look forward to the next opportunity,” Ellis stated.

Arsenal has seen a number of key figures depart its leadership recently. Edu Gaspar himself left the club to take on a role at Nottingham Forest, and academy manager Per Mertesacker also stepped down from his position.
