While the President of Argentina did not attend the World Cup final due to superstition, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and King Felipe VI were present in the stands, celebrating their country's second title.

After the match, some Argentine players returned to Buenos Aires, while others went on vacation or traveled to join their clubs.
