However, there are plans to construct an even taller building. Due for completion in 2020, The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour will be the tallest building in the world.

The completion of the building is set to coincide with the Expo 2020 trade fair, an event which Dubai is hosting.

There's no information on how tall the building will be, but it will definitely be taller than 2700ft,the height of the Burj Khalifa.

The architect in charge of the project is Santiago Calatrava Valls. Valls is also in charge of the World Trade Center PATH Station, a tower that will have a 360 degree observation deck when it is completed.
