Despite his latest setback, Marco Bezzecchi's Aprilia factory team colleagues, Paolo Bonora and Jorge Martin, have voiced their unwavering support for the struggling rider. The Italian sustained an injury during a qualifying crash at the Sachsenring yesterday, forcing him out of the German Grand Prix race weekend.

After reaching the pinnacle of success by winning his home Italian Grand Prix at Mugello in May, Bezzecchi has since lost valuable points over the subsequent four race weekends due to a dramatic series of incidents.

These misfortunes, which include being taken out of the Hungarian Grand Prix by teammate Martin, a race ban for hitting a marshal in the Czech Republic, and a crash at the Dutch Grand Prix, have eroded his comfortable early-season lead in the world championship standings.

Bezzecchi, who is scheduled for surgery in Italy today, now trails Martin by 11 points, with the German Grand Prix still to be contested. Nevertheless, Aprilia team manager Paolo Bonora maintained a positive outlook in a statement to MotoGP's world feed on Saturday.

"I am absolutely convinced that Marco is the same Marco Bezzecchi we saw at Mugello. This gives us a lot of positivity. I would like to tell him every time: 'Remember, you are the same Marco Bezzecchi who won so brilliantly at Mugello.'" he said. "We are fortunate to have a month-long summer break ahead of us. This is a positive thing to recover energy, recharge batteries, and start the second part of the season in the right way. We are certainly sending him a big hug. He knows that the entire team is behind him. We know his energy, and we know our strength. So, it's essential to be very positive and take advantage of this summer break to restore the current mood for the second half of the season," Bonora added.

Jorge Martin also expressed his belief in Bezzecchi's ability to bounce back from this challenging period. Although the two don't share the best relationship as teammates, especially after the incident at Balaton Park, Martin's own recovery from his nightmare injuries last year could serve as an example for Bezzecchi.

"I want to send all my support to Marco once again, because it's not pleasant to see him going through this difficult period. But this is racing; he knows how to recover from injuries. Because certainly, if you take advantage of the bad moments, as I said before, you can come back stronger and with a better mentality. He is a really strong rider and will be in the fight," Martin said after Saturday's sprint race.
