Andrea Kimi Antonelli beat Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar to clinch pole position for the United States Grand Prix, where he has the chance to seal the Formula 1 World Championship.

Speaking after qualifying at the Circuit of the Americas, the Italian acknowledged that the race will be far from straightforward with both Bulls lined up directly behind him. Nonetheless, he aims to retain the lead into Turn 1 and dictate the pace from the front.

"We got pole position, so tomorrow we will try to take the win. Max was very fast and Isack did an incredible job, so it won't be easy for us. "We'll aim to get a good start and hopefully head into Turn 1 in the lead. After that, we'll try to manage our own pace, although it is going to be a very tight fight. "I'm very pleased with qualifying. Q3 was extremely tricky with the wind gusting and constantly shifting in direction and intensity. But I'm delighted that, despite those conditions, I managed to claim pole," Antonelli said.
