Switzerland once again put up a strong fight, but the Eagles ultimately broke their resistance in the finish, securing a convincing win.

Following the game, head coach Dušan Alimpijević addressed the media.

"First and foremost, I must express great respect for our opponent. I see them as fierce competitors and a team with significant self-confidence; it's always tough to play against them. Alimpijević highlighted that his team started the game poorly but became more aggressive as it progressed.

"In the first half, we weren't utilizing fouls effectively and were too passive. In the second half, we changed our approach, which is evident in the statistics. We were much more aggressive. Nikola already mentioned that every player is crucial; we had players who brought energy off the bench, and I believe that's a significant advantage over Switzerland." - Dušan Alimpijević

Alimpijević extended his gratitude to all Serbian fans who filled the arena in Fribourg.

"As I said, they are good fighters and have a good coach. If they hadn't been in such a tough group, I think they would have had more chances to advance. I know the Swiss federation is also doing an excellent job; I see progress in their youth categories. Your country loves this sport, and we felt great tonight. Thank you to everyone who came tonight; they truly created a wonderful atmosphere. In the end, they carried a good part of the game and gave us extra energy." - Dušan Alimpijević

Serbia will conclude the first group stage on Monday when they host Bosnia and Herzegovina in Belgrade.
