Alimpijević Doused in Celebrations: Locker Room Erupts as Coach Walks In /VIDEO/

Following an opening-round defeat to Valencia, Beşiktaş delivered a flawless performance in the first game of this EuroLeague double-round week to secure a statement victory. Maccabi hosted the Turkish side at Belgrade's Aleksandar Nikolić Hall—serving as their neutral home court amid the ongoing conflict in Israel—a venue few know better than Serbian tactician Dušan Alimpijević. His team cruised to an impressive 109-93 win, leveling their record at 1-1 ahead of a home clash against Barcelona in Istanbul.

The Black and Whites were thrilled with a clinical performance, carrying their on-court jubilation straight into the locker room as players queued up to congratulate Alimpijević.

"Well done, guys!" he shouted in English upon entering to congratulate his squad. Before he could shake everyone's hand, the players ambushed him and drenched him with water bottles—a celebratory moment Beşiktaş subsequently shared on their official Instagram profile.

"This is a special victory and I have every reason to be proud. We played great basketball, and this is the exact intensity we are looking for," the coach told reporters post-game.

Beşiktaş play the second leg of their double-header on Friday against Barcelona, who previously lost to Dubai after winning against Efes in the season opener.
