Following the race, the Gresini Ducati rider expressed the significance of his second-place finish, especially after the disappointment at Silverstone, where a personal error cost him a podium spot. He also noted his improving condition after a severe injury sustained during MotoGP's last visit to Spain in mid-May for the Catalan Grand Prix.
"It feels really, really good. I feel great, and I love racing at home. I'm happy to have four home races; each one is special and unique in its own way. I'm enjoying the weekend here. We still have tomorrow's race. It was crucial for me to finish second today, and I'm steadily recovering from my injury (from Barcelona). Silverstone was a bit painful, missing the podium on Sunday, but we've been working exceptionally well this weekend, and I believe I'll have another chance at the podium tomorrow," stated the younger Marquez brother.
