Harry Potter' fans visit Platform 9 3/4 to pay tribute to late actor

Fans of Harry Potter have been laying flowers at Platform 9 3/4 to pay tribute to actor Alan Rickman. Mashable reported.

In the hours since the news broke, fans have turned the London's King's Cross train station also known as platform 9 3/4 into a miniature memorial.

Platform 9 3/4 is also known as the magical platform which Harry Potter characters use to catch the train to Hogwarts.

Alan Rickman, who played professor Severus Snape in the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling's book series, died on Thursday at the age of 69.
