Al-Khelaifi: We Are in No Position to Judge Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has refused to pass judgment on Manchester City over the 114 alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules between 2009 and 2018. The Qatari executive addressed the situation during the European Club Association (ECA) General Assembly, where he serves as chairman.

“First of all, we are not here to judge something that has not reached a final verdict. Secondly, we are here to help and support one another. Of course, if there is any wrongdoing… I am not a lawyer, but I believe they have the right to appeal, so nothing is final yet. We are in no position to comment. This is a matter for the Premier League and concerns an English club. Let’s see what happens. Ferran Soriano (Manchester City's CEO) does a fantastic job on the ECA board. He is a massive asset who brings great value with his expertise. He has had an exceptional career, and Manchester City have achieved plenty of positive things too, but it is not our place to judge. We are neither judges nor a court,” Al-Khelaifi stated.
