Governor Olusegun Mimiko has said that his administration will ensure that there is a peaceful transition to usher in the incoming administration.
Mimiko said this on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, while playing host to the Governor-elect, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu at the Government House in Ondo.
According to Punch, the Governor also said that the peace of the state has been the greatest achievement of his administration and called on Akeredolu to maintain the feat.
Mimiko said “It is unusual for an incoming governor to be this generous. We are making history because in the history of this state, this is the first civilian to civilian transition that will be seamless and I’m proud to be part of this history.”

In his remark, Akeredolu commended Governor Mimiko for his achievements, adding that his legacy will be difficult to surpass.
Rotimi Akeredolu was declared the winner of the governorship election in Ondo state which held on November 26, 2016.
