He also spoke about strengthening the bilateral relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the People's Republic of China as China has provided extensive economic, military and political support to Nigeria in the past few years.

On contesting for a second term, Governor Nasir el-Rufai said that "I am tired of governance just 6 months into office and i wonder why anyone in his right mind would not be tired of worrying constantly about insurgencies, corruption, security etc.

"4 years is enough for me, i am tired of all this already"

He finished by saying "Although, 16 years of governance by the PDP has ruined Nigeria, the APC is here to right the wrongs and bring change"
