Ajax in Talks with Girona Coach

Ajax management has reportedly initiated discussions with Girona's head coach, Míchel. According to journalist Mateo Moreto, the Amsterdam club is already in talks with the 50-year-old Spanish tactician regarding the possibility of him taking over the team.

Currently, Ajax sits in fourth place in the Dutch league standings, trailing leaders PSV Eindhoven by 20 points after 28 matches played.

The team's season began under the guidance of Johnny Heitinga, who was replaced by Fred Grim in November. Since March 8th, Óscar García has been at the helm.

Míchel has been Girona's coach since 2021. This season, his team has accumulated 34 points from 29 La Liga matches, placing them 13th in the league table.
