In an interview with Pulse, the singer talks about possibilities of dropping what would be his 7th studio album. Speaking on it, he said right now he is just releasing singles, but could decide to compile a couple of his songs out and make it into an album.

When quizzed about what he thinks has been the greatest change out of the Nigerian music industry in the past 20 years, the ‘Coded tinz’ singer thinks it is the quality of the music, with various professionals specialized in the music business, while for the greatest challenge, he feels the value based on intellectual property is low, arguing that there is a sense of nonchalant attitude from music consumers towards patronizing the artistes.

2baba also talked about his recent trip to Kenya for his Buckwyld and Breathless tour and concert, being a good experience, meeting with East African stars such as Sauti Sol,Churchill and Vanessa Mdee among others and having a good time with the fans as well during the show.

The singer also talks about Wizkid’s strides of late on the international front, his thought on African music getting global recognition, getting to sign an international record deal.

He also gave a tribute to the late OJB Jezreel whom he has worked with describing him as a soft spoken personality, what he learned from the producer and that they made magic together, among other interesting tidbits like his three top African musicians ever, dead or alive.
